University of Tennessee Doctoral candidate gets scientific work published
Great Oak High School grad, Conner Whitten, from thePechanga Reservation has been published in NATURE magazine.
They showd that chemogenetic activation of neurons that project from the infralimbic cortex to the basolateral amygdala promotes resistance to acute social stress. (WHAT?)
Studies like these help us better understand stress-related psychiatric disorders like PTSD.
Conner is working on his PhD at the University of Tennessee
