TEMECULA, CA — The much-awaited Temecula Handel's Homemade Ice Cream opens Wednesday, the owners announced over social media. The ice cream franchise's newest location is in Temecula's Promenade Mall shopping center at 41377 Margarita Road.

"We are so excited to announce that we will be opening our doors Wednesday, October 11th at 11 a.m.," they said in a recent Instagram post.

The ice creamery began in 1945 with Alice Handel's signature strawberry ice cream recipe, which will soon be available for tasting at the Temecula ice cream store. The shop offers unique fall flavors such as Buckeye, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Caramel Apple, and Pink Champagne. Go for other flavors, such as Lemon Bar, Black Raspberry Chunk, and Peach, so be sure to ask for a tasting sample when you go.

Though Temecula's Handel's Homemade Ice Cream is staffed up in advance of its opening, they are always seeking the perfect new hires.

This location is right around the corner from the Temecula Crafted Scone and Kennedy's Meat Market, some of our favorite local businesses.
