32-Year-Old Harley Rider From Vista Killed In Temecula Crash

TEMECULA, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after crashing into a metal guardrail in south Temecula.

The fatal crash was reported at 12:35 p.m. in the 44700 block of northbound Rainbow Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Preliminary information from the CHP showed the rider, a 32-year-old Vista man, was heading north on Rainbow Canyon Road, just south of the Temecula city limits.

For unknown reasons, he failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crashed his 2016 black Harley-Davidson FXDB into a metal guardrail, the CHP reported.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, died at the scene, according to the CHP.

There were no other vehicles involved.

The CHP remained on scene for several hours, and traffic was slow in the area due to the ongoing investigation.
