Heavy Police Presence In Temecula Due To Assault Investigation
The incident took place at the intersection of Temecula and Pechanga parkways.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Heavy police activity at a Temecula intersection Friday was due to an assault investigation, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department confirmed.
The assault was reported at the intersection of Pechanga and Temecula parkways around 11:47 a.m., according to Sgt. Deanna Pecoraro.
One victim sustained non life-threatening injuries, she said.

At 3:15 p.m., deputies were still on scene, "We currently have deputies along with investigators on scene completing an investigation into the assault," Pecoraro said.
Photos taken by bystanders that were posted to social media show the 76 gas station at 30515 Temecula Parkway cordoned off with police tape. By 5 p.m., the station was open for business.
