Holiday Taste Of Old Town Temecula Returns For Shopping, Dining, Fun

TEMECULA, CA — The Holiday Taste of Old Town is returning to Temecula for 2022.

The event lasts from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7. Tickets are $30 per person, presale before December 1, and $40 at the door while supplies last. Order the tickets online at www.OldTownTemecula.org.

Proceeds from the Holiday Taste of Old Town go to the Old Town Temecula Association.

Though this is the eleventh annual Holiday Taste of Old Town, this is the first time the event has occurred since COVID, organizers said in a recent news release. More than 200 are expected to attend the festive evening under the lights of Old Town's Main Street.

Event-goers can stroll through Old Town, visiting shops open late to welcome shoppers with food samples and trinkets from participating Old Town restaurants. The exact list is a well-kept secret until opening night, organizers said, adding "Be prepared to be surprised by our fabulous local businesses!"

Participating shops located in Old Town will be open late for gift buying.

If you've never taken part in the annual event, here are some things to know:

  • You'll be supplied with a list of participating shops and restaurants the day of, along with a map.
  • This event always sells out fast and is a big hit with locals, and it sells out every year (so get tickets early!)
  • The event will be held rain or shine, and it may be cold! so bundle up.
  • Wear your walking shoes! expect to stroll both Old Town Front Street and the many side streets in between to find those little-known gems for those new to the Old Town Scene.
  • This is a charitable function, collecting food for the Community Mission of Hope.

"During the event, the organization will collect food donations for the Community Mission of Hope food bank," event organizers said. "Please bring a canned or packaged food item, commercially packaged, unopened, and within the expiration date, or produce from a local farm."

WHEN YOU GO:

There are two check-in locations for advanced ticket holders that open at 4:50 p.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. on the day of the event:

  • Citrus and Moss 28459 Old Town Front St (next to Starbucks)
  • Oak Grove Culinary Creations 41923 2nd St. #104 (across from the Civic Center Parking Garage).

REMEMBER:

Please bring a canned food item to donate to The Community Mission of Hope at check-in. Remember, your ticket price does not include tips.

"Please bring cash to tip your servers," organizers said.

Many of the merchants are offering holiday treats, as well as special sales for the evening. The event provides a joyful experience with holiday décor, lights, and the spirit of the season.
