Tree Limb, Nails In Lanes Slow Morning Commutes In Temecula, Murrieta
California Highway Patrol Officers reported these roadway hazards, slowing traffic into Murrieta and Temecula.
MURRIETA, CA — California Highway Patrol reported two hazards on Southwest Riverside County area freeways, toughening the Tuesday morning commute.
In Murrieta, a large tree branch blocked the roadway at the I-215 southbound near Scott Road at about 8:30 a.m., according to CHP logs.
The branch was in the lanes, and traffic slowed as drivers changed lanes to avoid striking the limb. More cleanup crews were sent to the scene to remove the object.
In an earlier incident, this time in Temecula, drivers reported a box of nails scattered across the I-15 northbound lanes at the Winchester onramp.
Traffic slowed as officials cleared the sharp objects from lanes at about 8:30 a.m.
