TEMECULA, CA — Rush hour on the I-15 Freeway northbound into Temecula was heavier than usual Tuesday afternoon, complicated briefly by a large piece of wood that toppled across the roadway, California Highway Patrol reported.

Just before 4:45 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers reported that a large piece of wood fell across the #2 lane of the I-15 northbound.

The obstacle briefly disrupted northbound travel near the scales as drivers navigated the roadway into Temecula. A California Highway Patrol officer responded to the scene and was able to remove it, according to Officer Mike Lassig.
