Idyllwild Arts Academy Plans 24-Hour, Online Extravaganza
The free, "One World. One Idyllwild." fundraiser will feature a student spectacular of music, dance, fashion, film, art and theater.

IDYLLWILD, CA — A 24-hour virtual fundraiser — entitled "One World. One Idyllwild." — is planned next week to showcase the creative talents of students at Idyllwild Arts Academy, while also featuring many of its notable alumni.
The free event open to the public, viewable online from 12 p.m. Saturday, June 6 to 12 p.m. Sunday, June 7, will showcase all of the school’s creative disciplines, including fashion, with students' original designs, plus music, dance, student films, visual arts and theater presentations.
"In one of the school’s most ambitious efforts since their founding, Idyllwild Arts will bring together students, alumni, families, and friends on six continents, in 35 countries and 198 cities, with One World. One Idyllwild.," a spokesperson said.

Joining the aspiring student artists' pre-recorded performances will be such professionals and alumni as American graphic artist and social activist Shepard Fairey, former American Idol finalist Casey Abrams, Ember founder and inventor Clay Alexander and Celeste Headlee, an award-winning journalist, author and speaker. Each will address today's role of artists, as well as the impact of their time at Idyllwild Arts.
