Kids' Orchestra to Jam With Steve Miller
The rock legend is set to perform with a local youth orchestra in an outdoor concert in Old Town.

A local youth orchestra was scheduled to perform with rock legend Steve Miller in Old Town.
The concert, which should include the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, was set for Sept. 18 in front of the . for the location.
Proceeds from ticket sales should go to the "Kids Rock Free" program opening in Temecula this fall at Context Middle School, according to the city.

Miller was expected to perform some of his best-known songs, such as "The Joker," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Abracadabra" and "Hey Yea."

The music was created to blend with orchestral arrangements by conductor Rune Bergmann, and violin virtuoso David Coucheron and concert pianist Julie Coucheron were expected to perform.
The Kids Rock Free program gives free and low-cost guitar, bass, drum, piano and vocal lessons to children ages 7-17 years.
