When officers first arrived on scene, they did not immediately locate De Gues, according to Woods. But through their investigation, they were able to identify him as the suspect, and arrested him at a residential Temecula address about two miles from the school, according to jail records.
“The Temecula Valley Unified School District would like to thank the Temecula Police Department and the concerned citizen who reported the incident for their successful efforts to keep the students of our school district safe,” TVUSD said in a statement following the arrest.
