Medical care for the elderly, is it failing?
What is your opinion of our new Temecula Valley Hospital??

On Tuesday morning November 4th, we got a phone call from our good friend and neighbor Donna Webster, she had fallen down in her garage and the paramedics were there with her. She wanted us to take her to the hospital over riding in an ambulance, the paramedic told me it wasn’t red lights & sirens but she needed to be looked at! So we drove over and helped her get dressed and took her to our new Temecula Valley Hospital and into the Emergency Room. The nurse at the front desk took her vitals and her blood pressure went to 205 and we were shocked that the nurse said it was no big deal. She was admitted and a doctor ran a cat scan & an MRI and while she was there her blood pressure went down. They found nothing worth keeping her in for and released her, even though she had a really nasty bruise on the side of her face next to her eye & both knees bruised and her hip hurting. The next day she went to see her medical doctor who also gave her a clean bill of health. On Friday night her daughter spoke to her at 7:30pm and then called her the next morning but no answer on the phone. Franically she drove to her Mother’s house and then to our’s when she couldn’t get an answer at the door. We went over and couldn’t get in either so the Fire Department was called and they got in only to find our dear friend had expired some time during the night. The Coroners report came back that she died from a Cerebral Hemorrhage due to hypertension. Now I wonder did this happen from her fall in her garage?? Should the hospial have kept her for observation? You know you hear about these things happening to people that have fallen and hit their heads and then a few days later they are found dead!! Our dear friend will be laid to rest tomorrow at the Grace Presbyterian Church/Temecula Cemetery. RIP Donna Webster.
