Military Moms Get Big Baby Shower Thanks To Temecula Volunteers

The giant Camp Pendleton baby shower was themed "Precious Cargo."

From the National Charity League, Inc., Temecula Valley Chapter: The Military Baby Shower themed "Precious Cargo," took place at Camp Pendleton Saturday, Feb. 1. It is an ongoing tradition of our National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) District where all Chapters collaborate to show our support, as well as say "Thank You" for their service to our military families. This year 117 Military families gathered to celebrate the arrival of their "Precious Cargo." Each chapter, with a total of 180 volunteers, was responsible for various tasks and donations.

Our Temecula Chapter helped set up and ran an activity table. In addition, we welcomed and checked in our guests who were then escorted by our Ticktockers to their tables. At their tables, the families were hosted by both Ticktockers and Patronesses to ensure the families obtained the best experience possible. Our military families were provided a continental style breakfast, gorgeous array of cupcakes, fun games, elaborate diaper cakes, and bountiful gift baskets complete with the basic necessities to welcome the new baby. The baby shower is a beautifully orchestrated NCL event. It truly warmed my heart to see all Chapters come together for the greater good of all.
