SOAR, a newly established non-profit, is dedicated to empowering exceptional students facing challenges such as homelessness, foster care, language barriers, and poverty.
The foundation works to ensure these students receive the vital support and resources necessary to access the same opportunities as their peers. This includes everything from sports equipment and transportation for field trips to graduation caps and gowns, as well as support for organizing engaging activities for students and their families. These essential items and opportunities are often beyond the reach of many at Rancho Vista. The funding from the Shots for Tots initiative aims to provide these crucial resources, inspiring students as they strive for a brighter future beyond high school graduation.
Allen Cameron, District Manager of both 1909 and Toast Restaurants, discussed the donation.
“For six years, we have had the privilege of supporting their mission to break the cycle of foster care, offering hope, mentorship, and vital resources to at-risk children,” Cameron said. "Last year, this incredible organization positively impacted the lives of 140 local foster children, made possible through the contributions of dedicated Shots for Tots supporters."
The 1909 and Toast Restaurants team is immensely proud of what our community has accomplished through the Shots for Tots campaign, Cameron expressed.
Each contribution, social media share, and shot sold serves as a beacon of hope, highlighting the undeniable strength that arises when we come together for a common cause.
"To every donor, supporter, and participant, we celebrate our shared devotion to our community! Every dollar raised is not merely a figure; it embodies a lifeline of hope and a chance for meaningful change right where we live," they said. "Together, we hold the remarkable power to create impactful transformations and spread love throughout our community and beyond. With boundless enthusiasm, we eagerly anticipate witnessing the profound difference the generosity from the Temecula Valley and beyond will make for both Rancho Vista and the children served by El Roi Foster Ministries as we move into 2026."
