The owners hope to open by July in the Bagel Bakery's former location.

A new tapas restaurant and bar aims to bring live music to the Temecula Town Center.

The hours for live entertainment are Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the statement of operations submitted with the application.

One resident is looking forward to a new venue to hear live music.

“My wife and I love to listen to and experience live music and welcome a new place to enjoy,” explained David Merks of Temecula. “We tend to go to the same few places, so we are excited to explore a new one.”

The live entertainment will consist of a band or DJ and the music will range from jazz and blues to Latin.

The project has been conditioned to ensure that all live entertainment is conducted indoors and not on the existing patio, according to the application.

The project also proposed to complete the existing outdoor patio fencing that will match the existing fence and add two access gates.

Since the structure previously contained a restaurant, it is adequate in size and shape to accommodate the yards, walls, fences, parking and loading facilities, buffer areas, landscaping and other development features prescribed in the development code and required by the planning commission, the report also stated.
