One Person Injure in Fire at Temecula Inn

The damage was limited to a single room at the Extended Stay America.

One person was injured and a room was damaged in a fire at a Temecula hotel Thursday.

The blaze was reported about 12:40 p.m. at Extended Stay America, a multi-story inn at 27622 Jefferson Ave., near Interstate 15, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

An agency spokeswoman said the fire was quickly knocked down by crews and did not reach neighboring quarters. The fire was ignited in the kitchenette, apparently while a guest was cooking, according to the fire department.

The victim, whose identity was not released, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
