'Passionate New Member' Inducted Into Temecula Sunrise Rotary

Temecula Sunrise Rotary inducted a new member who had already begun to help the club with its projects even before joining, John Tamalunas.

From Temecula Sunrise Rotary: At a recent breakfast meeting, Temecula Sunrise Rotary inducted a new member who had already begun to help the club with its projects even before joining. John Tamalunas was sponsored by the club’s Immediate Past President, Johnny Roberts.

John moved to Temecula about two years ago from San Diego with his wife and two daughters. He is the General Manager of Beach Cities Solar, providing residential and commercial customers in Southern California with the most cost effective and innovative solutions to harness the power of the sun.

When John was between jobs, several years back, he got involved as a volunteer with Feeding America to keep himself busy and found that he really enjoyed helping others in his community. He had been looking for other opportunities for community service when he arrived in Temecula and looked to have a more expansive role as well.

Upon researching the various charitable organizations in the area, he found Rotary International to have, at its core, the same principles that he says he strives to adhere to. “On top of that,” John said, “I was fortunate to find the Temecula Sunrise Club that works primarily with at risk youth to ensure they are given the same opportunities and experiences I have been afforded in my life. I am looking forward to serving my community wholeheartedly to keep our world moving towards a more compassionate, inclusive and vibrant place for all people.”
