TEMECULA, CA — Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department answered the call on State Route 79 South/Temecula Parkway, just west of Anza Road Wednesday on reports of a rolled truck.

Shortly before 7 a.m., residents heard the approach of a fire engine heading eastbound on the 79 South, a Cal Fire spokesperson told Patch.

"They arrived on reports of a white GMC Sierra pickup truck with Idaho plates," they said.

Firefighters determined that the truck had rolled off the westbound roadway for unknown reasons near the 35-mph curve and came to rest on its side.

The vehicle was otherwise unoccupied, according to firefighters at the scene. It was not immediately known how long the truck had been at that location, or if there were any witnesses to the crash.
