Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a report of terrorist threats directed toward a public charter school in Menifee, a police sergeant said Monday.

On Saturday, Menifee police received a report of terrorist threats directed toward the Santa Rosa Academy at 27587 La Piedra Rd., said Sgt. Ryan Hoxmeier.

“The threats were made via social media and were nonspecific and not directed toward any particular student or employee,” Hoxmeier said. “The Menifee Police Department responds to all incidents of this nature as a potential danger to the community and is vigilant in conducting the investigation.”

Police served multiple warrants to identify suspects, including one in the 32500 block of Ontario Way in Lake Elsinore, he said. As a result, “two juveniles were arrested and booked at the South West Juvenile Hall.”
