Deputies arrested him somewhere on Zinfandel Avenue about 6 p.m., jail records show. The victims identified Paulsen as the assailant, Seltzer said.

He is expected to make his initial court appearance at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta on Friday.

Paulsen was out on $35,000 bail at the time of the alleged assault stemming from a sex crimes case involving at least one underage victim. He was charged in November with one felony count each of contacting a minor to commit a felony and possession of child pornography, along with an additional misdemeanor child pornography charge.

Paulsen has no documented felony convictions in Riverside County but is serving a three-year probation stint stemming from a 2018 misdemeanor battery conviction, court records show.
