Rancho Panthers Become Eastern Conference Champions, Head to SuperBowl
Rancho Panthers head to Superbowl after winning the Eastern Conference Championship

On Saturday November 22nd, 2 Divisions of The Rancho Panthers Premier Youth Football Program claimed their AAU East Conference Championship and qualified for the SuperBowl on Dec 6th. The Sophomore 10u Division Team, for the second week in a row, came from two touchdowns behind and defeated the #1 Seed Redlands Pride 42-33. The game was a typical back and forth with several momentum swings and lead changes. Ultimately behind the running attack of Cade Moran, Paul Evans and Quinn Korinek and dominate offensive line play led by Center Jack Pedersen and Izaiah Souriolle, The Sophomore Panthers simply wore down their opponents. They came up a big 4th quarter defensive stand to secure the Win and punch their ticket to the SuperBowl.
Additionally, the Junior Varsity, 12u Division, also outlasted the Redlands Pride 14-6 in an absolute defensive battle. Donovan Taylor intercepted a pass on the Panthers 1 yard line and took it to the house with 30 seconds left in the first half to go ahead on the scoreboard 6-0
The second half was more of the same with Redlands scoring on the ground to tie the game. In the 4th quarter with 8 minutes left the Panthers made a key defensive stop in their own end of the field and then completed a 9 play 63 yard drive that led by stellar offensive line play capped off by a 3 yard touchdown run by, Craig Hunter. The two point conversion was good, on a slant pass from QB, Colby Moran, to RBDominic Cyr to go ahead for good 14-6 with 2 minutes left.
Next up for both teams is a Super Bowl game against the Nation Titans.
