Random Acts Of Kindness Build Community In Temecula
On National Random Act Of Kindness Day, Temecula residents share how it's the little things that cement relationships in our town.

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula resident Kimberly Boisseau and her daughter frequently wrap up in a blanket gifted by a neighbor—shared with them by a neighbor they barely know. The random act of kindness was not lost on Boisseau, as she shared with Patch over Facebook this week after we put out a call for such stories.
Thursday is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. "Make kindness the norm" — known as #MakeKindnessTheNorm on social media — is this year's theme.
As Temecula residents shared their experiences, though some made jokes, most showed how kindnesses can make every street in our town a slice of small-town America.

Margie Warner spoke on behalf of her neighbor, saying that hers "gave me a baby shower when I was pregnant with my son and I didn't even know them that well!!"
There's no better way to make friends than to share in their joy.

Another is helping out in someone's time of need, as Kathy Velez told us.
"Till this day, I haven’t been able to find out which neighbor Instacart my family and I essentials when we all were sick with covid," Velez wrote. "Blessings to them!"
Neighbors also help each other out with pet care during out-of-town trips, as shared by Debbie Benson.
"(Ours) Took care of our two dogs while we were out of state and then had to take one of them to Doggy Urgent care," Benson said.
There's no better time to be kind and neighborly than when residents are moving in.
Amanda Petre told us about her experiences moving into a new neighborhood amid a massive construction project.
"We were brand new to the neighborhood in December and didn’t even live in the house yet (renovating)," Petre said. "One neighbor brought us homemade holiday treats."
