RivCo Gasoline: Price Drops Continue, More Possible
West Coast gasoline inventories are at their highest level in more than a year, and that may bring more price drops.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped three-tenths of a cent Friday to $3.497, the fifth decrease in six days.
The average price has decreased 1.9 cents over the past six days, including a half-cent Thursday, after increasing 2.2 cents over the preceding five days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago and 6.1 cents lower than one month ago but 32.6 cents higher than one year ago.

"On Wednesday, the Energy Information Administration reported that West Coast gasoline inventories are at their highest level in more than a year, and that may bring more price drops provided there are no major refinery incidents in coming weeks," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
