RivCo Man Accused Of Selling Marijuana Vape Pens To Minors In Temecula Area Arrested: Sheriff

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A 20-year-old Moreno Valley man suspected of using social media platforms to sell marijuana vape pens to minors in the Temecula area was arrested Thursday, authorities said.

Authorities began an investigation after a school resource deputy received a report about a person allegedly selling cannabis products to children. Investigators obtained a vehicle description connected to the suspect, who was later identified as David Hemosillo, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities located the vehicle on Thursday in Moreno Valley and conducted a traffic stop near Perris Boulevard and Iris Avenue. Hemosillo was taken into custody without incident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

A search warrant was executed at Hemosillo's home in the 15000 block of Perris Boulevard in Moreno Valley in connection with the investigation, authorities said.

During the investigation, deputies were led to a second location connected with Hemosillo, where another search warrant was executed in the 30000 block of Milky Way in Temecula.

Authorities said deputies found a stolen firearm, cocaine packaged for sale and marijuana products.

Hemosillo was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of cocaine sales, selling marijuana to minors, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of a stolen firearm.

He was being held on $50,000 bail, authorities said.
