RivCo Restaurant In Top 50 Date Night Restaurants National List

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula's Goat & Vine restaurant, a local favorite and an ideal date night spot for Southwest Riverside County couples looking for a night in the town.

Now, this local "secret" has weighed in as #27 of the top 50 restaurants to spend a date night, according to Food & Wine magazine and Yelp.

Owners Brad and Alicia Trevithik, with co-owner Nathan Rivera, know a thing or two about weaving romance, from the fabled story behind the restaurant to its on-point decor to their Instagram page loaded with suggestions and imagery of the food and home-baked goods sold here.

"At 11 o’clock, the front door to Goat & Vine will swing open, letting in the crisp winter air and the crowd of guests waiting outside. The restaurant is filled with the cozy aromas of fresh-baked bread and chocolate chip cookies," a recent Instagram post reads. "The stone hearth oven is fiery hot and ready for orders of rustic pizzas and toasty sandwiches. This place exists to fulfill our love of food and our love of people. Sit around our tables today and experience the warmth & hospitality of Goat & Vine."

According to Food and Wine magazine and Yelp, our little local secret has joined a national list of the top 50 date-night restaurants in the country. The press release includes 100 restaurants of a variety of sizes, compiled on positive reviews with "a high concentration of that mention it as the ideal place for a date, with keywords like “romantic” and “anniversary.” In order to represent as many areas of the country as possible, each city could only be featured a maximum of three times, with passing health scores as of December 2024.

The magazine also suggests that each restaurant listed is among the favored local spots for proposals.

“Several of our date-night spots love to play Cupid for anniversaries and other romantic occasions," according to Food & Wine. They suggest you make advanced arrangements with the restaurant as you plan your reservations. The featured restaurants tend to be smaller scale, with personal attention from wait staff, and approachable menus that won't break the bank in many cases.

"Restaurants are, after all, in the hospitality business, and the more memorable they can make your evening, the more likely you are to return."
