Riverside County Election Results: Congressional Lines Drawn, Who's Winning, Who Can Catch Up

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County's election night saw gubernatorial hopeful and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco fall well behind other candidates in initial primary election returns.

Election Night vote counting has concluded, according to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters. "Election results are not final, with an estimated 320,000 Vote-by-Mail ballots and 3,200 Conditional Voter Registration ballots remain to be processed and counted," they said.

What's next? All ballots postmarked on or before Election Day and received by June 9, 2026, will remain eligible for processing. Signature cure letters will be accepted through June 24, 2026. The next round of results below will be posted by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Gubernatorial Race Goes From Vast Field To Top Two:

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, a Republican, remained in fourth place at last count of unofficial results, judging by initial results Tuesday night, well behind Republican Steve Hilton and Democrat Xavier Becerra, who are leading the field and will likely go on to battle it out in the November general election.

In the race for the reshaped 40th Congressional District, Representative Ken Calvert is currently out front, garnering over 40 percent of the votes, according to early election returns.

Meanwhile, Riverside County Board of Supervisors Chair Karen Spiegel, of the 2nd Supervisorial district and Supervisor V. Manuel Perez of the 4th Supervisorial district.

Both incumbents appear to be handily fending off their opponents in the June 2 primary election, according to early returns.

In other election coverage, the lone open Judicial seat in Riverside County's primary shows a public safety executive with a firm lead over two defense attorneys. Michelle Paradise is well in front of Andrea Garcia and Jennifer Loflin for Judicial Seat Number 10 on the Riverside County Superior Court bench.

All election results are unofficial until certified on July 10. All precincts have reported, according to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

Every active registered voter in California was mailed a vote-by-mail ballot, and all Vote-by-mail, provisional, and other ballots will continue to be processed and counted after Election Night.
