See Smoke Column? Prescribed Burn Could Be Visible From Temecula, Anza
A prescribed burn was slated for Monday, and smoke would be visible in these areas of East San Diego County.

TEMECULA, CA — Cal Fire/San Diego County firefighters are running a prescribed burn in east San Diego County, below Lake Henshaw, that could be seen from Temecula, Anza and Aguanga, they announced.
The burn was slated to begin around 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
"We will be conducting a prescribed burn today located south of Hwy 79 and Hwy 76," a spokesperson said over X, formerly Twitter.

"There will be smoke visible in the immediate area and throughout the county," they said.
Smoke may be visible as far away as southwest Riverside County.

Most recently, Cal Fire/San Diego County firefighters conducted a controlled burn in Witch Creek.
"We successfully treated 66 acres of vegetation as part of our efforts to reduce fuel and prevent large devastating wildland fires," they said on Dec. 16.
Following a controlled burn, firefighters remain on scene to extinguish hotspots, they say.
