See Temecula's Plein Air Exhibit Competition Exhibits At The Museum

The 16th annual Ralph Love Plein Air Competition Exhibition display is at the Temecula Valley Museum in advance of the award ceremonies.

TEMECULA, CA — Do you love art? Now is your chance to see Temecula through the eyes of 30 local painters as they vie for the Plein Air competition awards over the next two weeks.

Local artists have painted locations in Old Town, Temecula Valley Wine Country, and Temecula city parks. Now, those exhibits are on the wall waiting to be judged for awards of Life in Temecula, 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and Best of Youth Category. Awards will be handed out at the Temecula Valley Museum at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, according to the Temecula Museum.

Another unique museum event, Paint in the Park, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 led by local artist Barbara Nelson.

"Learn the joys and frustrations of painting outside with Barbara Nelson, a multi-time winner of the City of Temecula's Annual Ralph Love Plein Air Contest. Paint along with Barb as she explains her process and teaches you a few tricks to paint Temecula's lovely scenery. The class is free, and materials will be provided (ages 12+).
