SoCal Woman Rings In New Year With Nearly $1M Pechanga Jackpot

TEMECULA, CA — Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula announced that one of its New Year's Day patrons rang in the New Year by scoring a nearly $1 million progressive jackpot.

The Southern California woman, whose identity was not provided, won the mother lode just after 9:30 p.m. Jan. 1 while playing a $.01 Dancing Drums slot machine by Scientific Games. The $940,865.64 win was with a $10 bet, according to Pechanga officials.

The last big progressive jackpot haul at Pechanga came in June when a Southern California woman won $674,092 on a Mystery Mask slot machine, officials said.
