Sola Concedes To Komrosky: TVUSD Governing Board TA 4 Race

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula Valley Unified School District Governing Board TA 4 candidate David Sola conceded the election to formerly recalled Governing Board member Dr. Joseph Komrosky this week.

Sola shared his thoughts with supporters over Facebook, saying he had called Komrosky to concede the election on Monday night.

"I just got off the phone with Dr. Komrosky, where I congratulated him on his win and reiterated that as a parent, education professional, and member of our community, I want nothing more than for our district to succeed," Sola wrote. "That said, we must all find a path toward that success."

Sola said he would continue supporting all of the board members and parents he met during his campaign.

"I wish our new school board success in the coming years and will continue being who I am and showing up for my kids and my family every single day. We are in this together. I want to thank my team, especially those who prioritized our mission over their own lives and success. You all have given me hope that I had lost for many years. I can’t express the love we have and how much it means to me. Here as long as you need me."

Though the results have not yet been finalized, Komrosky has been the frontrunner since Nov. 14. His seat has remained open since he was recalled from office in June.

Komrosky spoke of his impending victory with his followers on Nov. 23, in a video shared over Facebook, saying:

"God has called me to protect the innocence of these children, and I represent the values of the parents of the community that elected me. I got recalled and held my head up high at the last board meeting, and this swearing-in, I'll do the same thing I swore to do the first time. If the schools are doing well, great, I'm happy, and if they're not, I'm going to hold people accountable."

As of Tuesday, Dec. 3, though the Registrar of Voters has yet to finalize results, the latest counts show Dr. Joseph Komrosky leading the TVUSD Governing Board TA 4 race against Sola. In other TVUSD races, Emil Roger Barham still leads Gary Oddi and Angela Talarzyk in the TA 2 race, and Melinda Anderson leads over Alison Barclay in TA. 1. Incumbent Steven Schwartz still leads Jon Cobb in TA 5.
