South Bay Galleria Hosts Professional Clothing Drive Benefiting Local Veterans in Need
South Bay Galleria has teamed up with Designing Women South Bay to host Professional Clothing Drive on Saturday, April 11

South Bay Galleria has teamed up with Designing Women South Bay, a women’s guild in support of Working Wardrobes, to host its annual Professional Clothing Drive on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This special clothing drive will collect business attire for women, men and veterans who are re-entering the workforce.
“Hundreds of men and women have re-entered the workforce as a result of the knowledge and support they received through Working Wardrobes’ wonderful career program,” explained Sher Haddon, Marketing Manager at South Bay Galleria. “As a leading retail center in the South Bay, it only seemed fitting that South Bay Galleria would partner with this fantastic non-profit to provide the community a place to donate clothing items, to help veterans and other deserving individuals in need.”
Community members are encouraged to drop off gently used professional clothing such as slacks, skirts, dresses, suits, and button up shirts, as well as purses, shoes, ties and accessories at the South Bay Galleria Food Court, located on Level 3.

All donations must be clean and clothing items must be donated on hangers. These items will then be donated to Working Wardrobes’ Career Success Program to aid job-seeking veterans and other men and women in the community.
Haddon explains, “Through our partnership with this incredible organization, and with the help of South Bay residents, we can now come together to provide the gently used professional clothing these rehabilitated workers need in order to have the confidence to be successful in both job interviews, as well as in their future careers.”
