Stars Of The Valley Returns To Pechanga Resort & Casino

TEMECULA, CA — Stars Of The Valley, a wish-fulfilling organization for Temecula residents in need, returns Saturday, Feb. 2 at Pechanga Resort and Casino.

The red carpet affair celebrates and raises funds for the program, run by founder Charity Prestifilippo and her phenomenal cast of volunteers, to improve the lives of those in need.

The Charity for Charity mission is to make a significant difference in the lives of others and inspire each other to accomplish incredible things. Prestifilippo told Patch that the wishes granted to recipients, whether trips to sporting events, a Disney cruise, experiences with someone's hero or assistance with life-altering medical devices, were to add a small bright spot in someone's life.

Stars of the Valley is a formal banquet, complete with a silent and live auction and will be held at Pechanga Resort and Casino for the second year.

Charity for Charity, the non-profit that organizes Stars of the Valley, was awarded a 2018 nonprofit of the year award by the state of California.

"Charity developed the concept of Charity for Charity as a nonprofit organization to benefit community members struggling with extraordinary and often terminal medical conditions," Assemblymember Marie Waldron said.

Since its inception in 2006, Prestifilippo has raised significant funds and helped plan life-altering experiences for many in the valley. However, it is at the Stars of the Valley event that the beneficiaries genuinely experience the warmth and emotional support that is unprecedented.

"I believe by helping each other we can all make a huge difference in the world," Prestifilippo says.
