Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Temecula Celebrate Nature with Ladybug Release

On April 27, students released thousands of ladybugs into the environment to improve the health of local vegetation

On April 27, students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Temecula explored a bug’s life as they released thousands of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students dressed for the occasion in the likeness of ladybugs, wearing red and black colors and antennae. Leading up to the event, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Discovery Isle Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
