Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Temecula Donate More than 160 Pairs of Pajamas for Children in Need
Students donated pajamas as a part of the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive to benefit children in need
TEMECULA, Calif., (Jan. 23, 2017) – Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Temecula collected more than 160 pairs of pajamas to benefit children in need. The items were collected as part of Scholastic’s Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, an effort that supports Pajama Program. Each donated pair of pajamas will be accompanied by a book. In celebration of the drive, students wore pajamas to class throughout the week and held a Polar Express celebration where they participated in reading activities. Students at Discovery Isle have participated in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive since it started eight years ago.
Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need nationwide, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. Since 2001, Pajama Program has donated over one million pajamas and books to children. The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive has collected and donated almost 350,000 pairs of pajamas from Scholastic Reading Club classrooms to benefit the Pajama Program.
