For those looking for something extra special to give this Valentine’s Day, Temecula Valley has staycation packages and romantic experiences to pair with local wines and spirits. Hoping for the Stay At Home Order to be lifted, Visit Temecula Valley invites Southern California residents to stay and experience their wine country like a traveler. If the Stay At Home Order remains in place through the holiday, many of the stay packages can be reserved for a later date and the specials are available online for pickup or delivery.

Resort and Vacation Rental Staycation Packages

Carter Estate Winery and Resort is offering a private bungalow Romance package valid through the year. This romantic package includes one-night luxurious accommodations, a welcome bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and a bottle of Carter Estate sparkling wine. This package starts at $239 per night.

Starting May 1, Pechanga Resort Casino features a Love is in the Air package that includes Four Diamond accommodations, sparkling champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, in-room American breakfast for two, and late check-out starting at $149. Another package available to book as of May 1 is Journey Fore You for golf lovers. Rates start at $289, depending on the day of the week, and includes Four Diamond accommodations, one journey welcome amenity, golf view room, practice facility privileges, one $59 Journey Back coupon, and preferred tee times.

South Coast Winery Resort & Spa has a Romance package available all year. This includes one-night luxury accommodations, a welcome bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and a bottle of South Coast sparkling wine. This package starts at $209 per night.

Temecula Creek Inn invites couples to cozy up this Valentine's Day with their Room for Dessert package. This includes a Wine and Dessert Trio: A bottle of limited edition Peltzer Prosecco and three chef-crafted chocolate desserts, a gourmet breakfast-in-bed for two, and a complimentary late check-out. A Romance Concierge complete with pre-check-in room decor and activity coordination is available for an additional fee. Rates for this package start at $269 and it is available for stays February 11 through 15.

Should the getaway need to be postponed, Temecula Creek Inn offers an Unlimited Play Weekday Getaway that includes a one-night stay, two days of unlimited golf on their championship course, range balls and cart fees for $229.

The New Inn vacation rental has four romantic packages to choose from during the month of February. The Be Mine package at $150 includes a bottle of local wine, dessert fondue, and rose petals. The Sweet Escape package at $250 adds a picnic set up with a charcuterie board for two, salad or sandwich and a dessert fondue. Cupid’s Touch at $375 includes a bottle of wine, a dessert fondue, rose petals, and a couple’s massage. Should the state order still be in place, they would honor these packages at a later date if purchased in the month of February, food menus are subject to change.

Temecula HIlltop is offering a free bottle of De Portola Estate wine and a box of chocolates should the vacation rental be able open to non-essential guests in February.

Romantic Experiences

Why not pop the question with Tour del Vino? They are offering a Proposal in the Vines package that includes a romantic day visiting wineries then a customized proposal package unique to the couple’s desires. This booking can be used anytime through the year.

If restrictions are lifted, A Grape Escape Hot Air Balloon Adventure is offering a Valentine shared flight February 12- 15 starting at $199 per person. After the flight, couples enjoy sipping on sparkling wine, mimosas or non-alcoholic beverages and they receive certificate of flight, discount on wine tasting, and memories for a lifetime.

Temecula Carriage Company whisks loved ones on a private, romantic horse and carriage ride through the vineyards. Upgrades are available that include sparkling wine, chocolate covered strawberries, roses, and a picnic. Reservations are required. Prices start at $165.

The company also offers a Clip Clop Café dining tour. This is a private dining and sight seeing ride through the vineyards on a horse drawn carriage. Couples can pack their own picnic or bring takeout from their favorite restaurant. Reservations are required. The price is $175 for up to four guests.

A cooking class from home with Chef Leah at E.A.T. Marketplace includes all the main ingredients with a list of items needed in the dinner kits. Participants can watch a cooking demonstration and follow along. Choices include meat or vegetarian options. Other dietary restricted options are available upon request. Pre-cooked, ready to eat items are also available for pick up. Orders must be made by February 10 and picked up February 13.

Cougar Winery has a Lunch for 2 with a View special that comes with a heart-shaped pizza, Caesar salad, two glasses of wine or beer, two heart-shaped triple chocolate Ghirardelli brownies, and a long-stem red rose (first 50 reservations). Pre-pay before February 14th and to reserve two Adirondack chairs (for 90 minutes) overlooking the vineyards. Space is limited and on a first-pay first-reserve basis. The cost per couple is $65.

The Vineyard Rose at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa has a special Valentine three-course dinner on February 13 and 14 for $150 per couple. The menu can be paired with South Coast Winery’s award-winning wines for $24.50 per person. Reservations are required. Takeout will be available should dining not be open due to COVID19 orders.

Grazing Theory is creating special heart shaped charcuterie boards filled with specialty meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, chocolates, heart-shaped crackers and a choice of French bubbles for pick up at $95.

Wines, Mead, and Spirit Specials

Wilson Creek Winery is doing a “Wine-a-Gram” as a way for people to send a custom labeled bottle to a loved one. A photo, sentiment and note can be added to the label. The winery is also offering a Valentines labeled Cinsault (Rated 92 by Wine Enthusiast) and 12 chocolate covered strawberries or 12 macaron package treats for pre-order pickup at $65. Another special is a

Valentines’ Almond-tini pack which includes a bottle of Almond Sparkling wine and a bottle of Chocolate Decadencia dessert wine along with a recipe for Almond-tini. The sale price is $47.68.

BEL VINO Winery is featuring 3-Bottle Valentine Wine Bundles starting at $41.85.

Batch Mead offers a bottle of Raspberry Chocolate mead for $20 or a package that includes this mead along with a bottle of Strawberry Shortcake mead, two snifters, and a box of chocolate for $29.

Galaway Spirits has a His or Hers custom Valentine’s Day gift basket. Each includes a choice of spirits, handmade products, chocolates, and more. Place your order by Wednesday, February 10 to ensure the basket is ready for pickup.
