SWR Regional Cancer Task Force to Create Resource Guide

From The City of Temecula: The Southwest Riverside County Regional Cancer Task Force is collaborating with Reeder Media to publish a Southwest Riverside County Cancer Resource Guide to include a list of cancer-related businesses, medical services and resources available in the south/western area of Riverside County. The glossy full-color magazine will be made available to people who have received a cancer diagnosis throughout the year.

The effort spent coordinating and traveling to San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles for cancer care places a significant amount of stress on cancer patients and their families, who are already burdened with the challenges of battling a major illness. A regional cancer resource guide will help to educate local patients and caregivers about cancer-related services and resources offered within the southwest Riverside County area. This includes medical organizations, physicians, oncologists, therapists, treatment centers, chemo, radiation, laboratories, healthcare navigators, specialized care, resources, charitable organizations, or other businesses that offer cancer related services across the spectrum of cancer care ranging from preventative care to diagnoses, treatment, post-treatment, palliative, hospice, and post-cancer. The publication will also include helpful articles and information for patients and caretakers.
