Tecovas Grand Opening Announced For Old Town Temecula: What To Know And When To Go

TEMECULA, CA — Cowboy boot retailer Tecovas will open its newest Southern California store next week in historic Old Town Temecula, with a three-day grand opening celebration featuring live music, giveaways, refreshments, and custom hat decorating.

The store, located at 28601 Old Town Front St., will offer handcrafted cowboy boots, Western apparel, leather bags and accessories, along with complimentary boot shines, leather personalization and hat-shaping services.

The Austin-based Western wear brand is expanding into Temecula with a retail concept built around what the company calls "radical hospitality." Rather than focusing solely on merchandise, Tecovas stores offer customers a chance to try on boots, customize leather goods and enjoy complimentary refreshments while shopping, according to a store spokesperson.

The Old Town location adds another Western-themed business to Temecula's historic district, known for its frontier heritage, shopping and tourism.

The storefront, inside the former Old Town Antique Faire, which closed in July 2025, has been completely redesigned to create a unique retail experience. The company says the space features combined industrial textures, warm leather tones, and Western-inspired details designed to complement Old Town's historic character.

The opening marks the arrival of a business Patch previously reported was planning to move into Old Town Temecula. The retailer had initially been expected to open during summer 2026.

Grand Opening Events

Tecovas plans a three-day celebration featuring live entertainment, complimentary custom hat tattooing, refreshments and gift bags for early shoppers.

According to the company's announcement, planned activities include:

• Live music: Performances by Rheanna Downey.
• Gift bags: Complimentary Tecovas gift bags for the first 50 shoppers each day, Friday through Sunday.
• Custom hat tattooing: Complimentary on-site personalization from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday.
• Refreshments: Complimentary beverages available throughout the weekend.

A New Way To Shop For Boots In Temecula

Beyond opening weekend, customers can take advantage of several in-store services, including complimentary boot cleaning and shining, boot stretching, leather branding and debossing.

The store will also feature a custom Hat Bar where shoppers can have cowboy hats shaped, branded and personalized with accessories. Some hat add-ons carry an additional fee.

The store will also offer complimentary beverages, including sparkling water and local beer.
