TEMECULA, CA — There is a significant upgrade for playground visitors of the Temecula Creek Trail Park these days. Gone is the small-ish, sun-faded, and outdated play structure, and in its place is something new, exciting, and fun for kids of all ages.
Just ask Temecula Mayor James "Stew" Stewart.
He and other local dignitaries, along with city parks and community services staff, were all on hand for the grand reopening celebration Wednesday at 33662 Channel Street in Temecula.

The park still offers barbecue grills, picnic tables, and trails, along with the updated playground, but there is a lightness and brightness with the motif.
"This is the 16th park the city of Temecula has modernized into a very desirable play space," Stewart said about the reopening. "Every park we have revisioned has been very popular with the neighborhood they reside in."
