Temecula El Torito Closed As Parent Company Prepares to Grow: Reports
Reports indicate owner Real Mex is readying for the acquisition of a new restaurant chain.

TEMECULA, CA – Temecula's El Torito location is no more. According to reports, the operators of the restaurant shuttered it on Monday.
Real Mex, who owns the Mexican food restaurant, closed a total of six restaurants this week, according to the Press Enterprise. And Temecula's El Torito on Margarita Road was one of those that fell on the chopping block.
The phone number to the Temecula eatery has seemingly been disconnected, as attempts to call the location Wednesday were met with messages of "your call cannot be completed at this time."

“Although closing restaurants is never easy, the plan we have put in place strengthens the overall health of the company moving forward," Real Mex Chief Executive Bryan Lockwood said in a statement shared with the Press Enterprise.
Other locations that were closed include El Torito locations in Riverside, Burbank and Long Beach, as well as an El Torito Grill in Torrance and an Alcapulco restaurant in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
