Temecula Health And Safety Resource Forum Planned For Aug. 30

Supervisor Chuck Washington and local dignitaries will attend the forum to discuss emergency preparation, healthy aging and wellness.

TEMECULA, CA — Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington has planned a Health & Safety Resource Forum in Temecula from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Aug. 30 at the Temecula Community Center at 28816 Pujol Street.

According to organizers, this free forum will cover budget-friendly emergency preparedness, healthy aging, and wellness.

All attendees will receive a free first aid kit and mini phone charger (one per household, while supplies last).

While there, you'll hear from service providers like Temecula Citizen Corps, Temecula's Office of Emergency Management, HICAP, CARE Team, Riverside County Environmental Health, RUHS, Public Authority, Office on Aging, and IEHP. You can hear from Riverside County Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington and Temecula Mayor Zak Schwank.

"My goal is to make Riverside County resources readily available and easy for all residents," Washington said. "We have hosted several of these forums throughout the Third District in partnership with our public safety agencies and County departments to ensure our seniors know how to prepare and feel confident during an emergency."

City of Temecula Mayor Zak Schwank also discussed the upcoming event.

"The City of Temecula's Health & Safety Resource Forum will offer a multitude of resources and services available to our senior community," he said. "I encourage all seniors in the region to join us to learn, connect, and prioritize our collective health and safety."
