Temecula Hosts Virtual Memorial Day Observance

The online event will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in association with the Temecula VFW.

Press release from the city of Temecula: In commemoration of Memorial Day, Temecula’s Community Services Department will honor veterans with a Virtual Memorial Day Observance online only on Monday at 9 a.m. in association with the Temecula VFW. Please visit Facebook.com/TemeculaParksAndRec/ as we pay tribute to and remember those heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Virtual Memorial Day Observance will feature speeches from local military veterans and city dignitaries. We encourage you to tune in online as we unite to honor the men and women that we have lost. As Americans, we must never forget, that there is a personal cost to the freedoms we enjoy. The city of Temecula is proud to honor our fallen heroes, as well as those who served or are presently serving in all our armed forces.

“Although we are unable to come together in person to recognize our community’s veteran heroes, it is important that we pay tribute to all our fallen service members. While COVID-19 may have changed the way we congregate currently, it will not prevent us from recognizing this important day while remaining Temecula Strong. We encourage everyone to join us online for this Memorial Day Observance as we honor those who have fallen while protecting the freedoms, liberty and constitution we hold so dear,” states Mayor James ‘Stew’ Stewart.
