Temecula I-15 Fire Fully Contained: Cal Fire
Firefighters had been working since Saturday to fully extinguish the freeway-side blaze.
TEMECULA, CA - Three days after a wildfire broke out next to Interstate 15 in Temecula, dozens of firefighters tasked with dousing the blaze on Tuesday were able to reach full containment, fire officials said.
According to Jennifer Fuhrman with the Riverside County Fire Department, there were approximately 62 personnel assigned to the incident on Tuesday.
Firefighters had been working to extinguish the blaze along the shoulder of southbound Interstate 15 just south of Temecula Parkway since it broke out late Saturday morning, according to Cal Fire. One firefighter suffered a minor injury during the effort.

By the end of Tuesday, Fuhrman reported the fire was 100 percent contained at 139 acres.
The so-called Temecula Fire was for a time burning near blaze in Pala at the northern edge of San Diego County.

The Pala fire started in a house on Pala Temecula Road last Tuesday afternoon, destroyed a few abandoned sheds and grew to about 70 acres, but was fully contained as of this morning, according to Cal Fire.
