Temecula Library To Host Free Event On Reducing Your Food Waste
Learn the difference between food waste, and wasted food.
From Temecula Library: Join us for Food Waste & Wasted Food: Organic Waste Reduction at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library (30600 Pauba Road) on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Over one third of what goes to the landfill is organic waste, and nearly half of that is food. Can some of it be rescued? Yes! Join James
Rowland of Riverside County Department of Waste Resources as he teaches the difference between food waste, and wasted food. James will discuss programs and strategies that will not only help reduce and divert this waste stream, but will also help the environment, as well as local families who are food insecure. Come and learn how you can be part of the solution. Sponsored by the Friends of the Temecula Libraries, this program is open to adults 18 years and older. Carpooling is encouraged. For additional information, please call (951) 693-8900.
