TEMECULA, CA — As a symbol of the "community's resolve and resilience during these unprecedented times" amid coronavirus, officials are lighting up Temecula City Hall in the nation's colors and playing "God Bless America" on the clock tower chimes, it was announced this week.

The red, white and blue patriotism was requested by Mayor James “Stew” Stewart.

“As we are all going through these very challenging times, we shall light up City Hall as a beacon of hope while the chimes play, ‘God Bless America’ nightly. Our health is in each other’s hands, so it is imperative that we all stay safe at home to remain healthy and hopeful as we get through these difficult times together," Stewart said in a released statement.
