Temecula inventor Dan Williams, developer of the new Universal Vacuum cleaner, could find himself in the spotlight thanks to his creation.
Williams was among 600 inventors who auditioned recently to appear on the ABC Channel 7 program “Shark Tank." The show features aspiring entrepreneurs, pitching their products to a panel of wealthy investors that includes Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and Lori Greiner, personality on QVC-TV, Greiner who hosted Clever & Unique Creations by Lori Greiner, for more than 15 years.
“Each entrepreneur had a single minute to communicate the essence of their invention and the business opportunity it represents before the program’s producers in the hopes of winning a chance to appear before the Shark Tank panel during an actual taping of the program,” wrote The Universal Vacuum CMO officials in a news release.

“Expectation is high at Universal Vacuum,” team members wrote.
Universal Vacuum CMO staffers described their product in the news release:
The Universal Vacuum is a revolution in vacuum technology.
Weighing only 5 pounds and about the size of a gallon milk jug, it has the suction power to lift a bowling ball, yet is gentle on carpets, preserving carpet life. It is actually four products in one, combining a vacuum, blower, hand-held dust collector, and an air cleaner directly attachable to shop tools, with a patented technology that makes getting under low objects and doing stairs, as an example, extremely easy.
The Universal Vacuum was designed and patented by Dan Williams, a local Temecula flooring contractor who knew that breathing in all of the wood dust was hazardous to his health.
He also realized that existing vacuums are large and unwieldy, or if small, have no power. So he set out to design something easy to use for the home, shop, RV, boater or camper hobbyist, as well as strong enough with Hepa properties for commercial use as well. Check the Universal Vacuum website.
The Universal Vacuum is also partnered with StartUp America, a national organization dedicated to advancing the success of American startups. For more information contact Helene Berren at 760-803-1245 or by email at hberren@gmail.com.
