Temecula Road Closures, Route For Friday's Electric Light Parade

Beginning at 7 p.m., the city's annual Santa's Electric Light Parade​ will make its way through Old Town.

TEMECULA, CA — Rain or shine, Santa is coming to Old Town Temecula Friday night.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the city's annual Santa's Electric Light Parade will make its way through the storied destination — and it's free to attend. This year's parade theme is "Temecula Safe for the Holidays."

The parade route begins at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Del Rio Road and will head south, ending at Old Town Front and First streets (see map below).

Parade watchers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Friday night temps are forecast to dip into the mid-40s, according to the National Weather Service.

Free public parking is available in the Old Town parking garage (28690 Mercedes Street), 6th Street parking lot (41952 6th Street) and dirt lots located at Santiago/Ynez roads, according to the city. Handicap parking is available on 6th Street.

A number of portable restrooms will be stationed along the parade route (see a map of restrooms here).
