Temecula Scouts Receive X Box's from Melvin Gordon - Chargers

It was merit badge day for Temecula Troop 148. Twenty scouts travelled to Microsoft in Fashion Valley on Sunday, April 30. Microsoft was running three merit badge sessions: Photography, Movie Making and Game Design. It was long day. The scouts arrived at 9 am and were not expected to return until after 7pm, but it was worth it. These three merit badges are some the most popular and getting into these merit badge sessions is not always easy. They had no idea their hard work was really going to pay off. It just so happened that Melvin Gordon, running back for the Chargers, was at Microsoft that day too. He met with some of the scouts and expressed his support of scouting. The scouts were thrilled, but were even more surprised when he began giving away X Box's. Thank you Melvin Gordon. Your support and generosity will stick with these scouts for very long time.
