Temecula Start Smart Course Aimed At Permitted, New SWR Drivers: CHP
If you want your young, permitted, or licensed driver to learn the responsibilities of driving in California this is the FREE class for you.

TEMECULA, CA — California Highway Patrol is hosting its next Temecula-area Start Smart class to educate teenagers and families on the responsibilities of the road this week.
The Start Smart class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Temecula City Hall, located at 41000 Main Street. The course is FREE, and parents are encouraged to attend. Register in advance at www.Eventbrite.com , search and click on "CHP Temecula Start Smart" to be enrolled.
"The course is aimed at helping newly licensed - or soon to be licensed- teenage drivers (15-19) become more aware of the responsibilities that accompany the privilege of being a licensed California driver," Officer Mike Lassig stated.

Newly licensed or permitted teenage drivers and their parents/guardians are invited to attend and participate in a free two-hour-long Start Smart class hosted by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Temecula Area office.
"A CHP officer will speak directly to the newly licensed driver and their parents/guardians
through candid conversations, discussing topics such as collision avoidance techniques along with collision-causing elements such as excessive speed, DUI, and distracted driving," he said. "Start Smart makes teens and parents aware of the responsibilities they face and teaches what precautions to take to stay safe; such as the importance of seat belt unsafe, passengers in the vehicle and what to do when involved in a collision."
