Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival Wins International Awards
The Festival won two Gold Pinnacle awards: Best Media Relations Campaign and Best Press Kit.


From IFEA:The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) awarded the 2018 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival with three honors at the recent convention. The Festival won two Gold Pinnacle awards: Best Media Relations Campaign and Best Press Kit. A silver award was given to the Festival’s promotional rack card.
IFEA recognized the most outstanding examples of quality and creativity in the festivals and events industry during the awards. Winning entries came from organizations as diverse as the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Denver, CO; the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, CA; the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC; the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, KY; and the Fiesta Bowl, Scottsdale, AZ.
International winners included such diverse event organizations as RedFilo Events, Abu Dhabi, UAE; Destination NSW, Sydney, Australia; Guangdong Chimelong Group, Gaungzhou, China; Cuckoo Events, Dublin, Ireland; Rotterdam Festivals, Rotterdam, Netherlands; and Songpa-gu, South Korea. Awards were handed out in 69 different categories with four divisions based upon annual budgets. The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival competed in the $1 million to $3 million annual budget division.

Melody’s Ad Works, Inc. of Wildomar, the Festival’s public relations firm, created the award- winning media relations campaign, press kit and rack card. This is the sixth straight year that the Festival has won best media relations and best press kit. Judging is based upon measured results which include advertising equivalent value of the campaign, percentage of the target audience captured in ticket sales, and return on investment for the event by increased revenue.
