Though the organization moved into the building weeks ago, the grand opening aims to show the facility to residents.

“We are excited to share our new facility with the public and show what a great resource we are to the community as well as visitors,” said Kimberly Adams, the organization’s president and CEO, in an emailed statement.

The event will include a tour of the facility, food and wine tasting, live music, activities and prizes. Maps and information about attractions in Temecula will also be available for free.

The convention and visitors bureau is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to stimulating tourism in Temecula. It promotes the city to meeting planners, tour operators and leisure travelers.

Marketing assessment fees – rather than taxpayers’ dollars – pay for its efforts, Brown said.
