Temecula Valley Football Gives Back As They Prepare For The Season Ahead

TEMECULA, CA — The Temecula Valley High School Football Program is continuing its “Bears Give Back” Community Engagement Program, an initiative designed to extend the program's impact beyond the field and into the Temecula Valley community.

Recently, through its “Bears Got Your Back” School Supplies Donation Drive, the students collected school supplies for students and families who may need additional support.

"Through the generosity of the TVHS football families, the program hopes to ensure that local students have the tools they need to walk into the classroom with confidence and start the school year ready to succeed."

This joins three other community programs the players participate in each year.

TVHS Football players, coaches, families, and supporters will have opportunities to serve local families, encourage young athletes, support students, and invest in the future of Temecula Valley, according to a recent news release.

"Being a Golden Bear means more than what we do on the field," the release stated. "We want our players to understand that leadership is about serving others, giving back, and using the platform we have to make a positive difference in our community."

Four Programs. One Mission: Bears Give Back.

Spark of Love Toy Drive
During the holiday season, TVHS Football participated in the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive, helping bring the joy of Christmas to local children and families in need. Players and the football community came together to collect and donate new toys to support this important community effort.

Free Spring Youth Football Camp
In the spring, the program hosted a free youth football camp for local children. The camp provides young athletes with an opportunity to learn football fundamentals, develop their skills, and experience the positive values of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership directly from TVHS football coaches and players.

The goal is not only to teach the game, but to give the next generation of athletes a positive introduction to the TVHS football family.

Temecula Dollars for Scholars — Two Senior Scholarships
The Bears Give Back program also invested directly in the educational future of its graduating seniors through Temecula Dollars for Scholars. Each year, the football program will support scholarships for two Temecula Valley High School senior football players, helping them pursue their educational goals after graduation.

This initiative recognizes that success for a student-athlete extends well beyond the football field and celebrates the hard work, character, commitment, and academic aspirations of graduating Golden Bears.

The program invites parents, alumni, local businesses, community organizations, and Temecula Valley residents to join the Golden Bears in making a difference through donations, volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, and community participation.

"Because being a Golden Bear isn’t just about playing for the community — it’s about giving back to it."
